Seal: A Nifty Open Source Android App to Download YouTube Video and Audio
Download YouTube video/music (for educational purpose or with consent) with this little, handy Android app.Sourav Rudra (It's FOSS News)
Love how you're making the videos available on a decentralized, community-run platform like Peertube, in alignment with your stated values!
Even better is how you've continued to engage with the community on this issue rather than just ignoring it and funneling users onto centralized surveillance platforms like YouTube! Way to go!
...Right?

Decentralization is somewhere over there... way over there... in the distance... far from any of our videos.

It’s done well.
Posting on PeerTube first had no negative impact as far as I can tell, in fact premiering on PeerTube let me polish and trim a minute from the video which made it a better watch.
Fediverse fans also reported watching it a second time for the YouTube release.
Conclusion: Counterintuitively I think I got more YouTube views as a result of posting on PeerTube first.
These sound like nice improvements.
It would also be nice to not be forced by Nextcloud onto a centralized, proprietary, monopoly surveillance platform to see them.
Peertube is a thing. So is Pixelfed. Heck, even on Mastodon, short videos are a thing.
