This is the death card from my tarot deck in progress. It stands for change, transformation, and letting go. I've chosen a crow to represent this meaning. Dias de Los Muertos is celebrated with flowers for their loved ones. The crow wears a flower crown with colorful feathers. It wears a bird scull too and has a bone structure painted on its feathers. It is surrounded by many flowers (white, orange, and red) and sculls with glowing eyes. Time symbols can be found. In the background, an intricate old clock, in the front, a burned-down candle. Considering setting up my own #Pixelfed instance.
I have been using Mastodon to occasionally post some of my #photography but I don't like how it is mixed up with my other non-photography content. It would like to have a space dedicated to photography.

There seems to be a very high concentration on a few Pixelfed instances anyway so I guess it won't hurt to add anothe one?

I will probably delete this toot later.
I have seen AI-generated images containing the same elements (e.g. an AI-generated image with the same amount of cats, two small, and one large white cat with intricate golden patterns, a lotus flower, and a remaining coin at the top) & the same colors in my artwork. I especially mean the right picture in the three-pictured layout.

How should I feel about such situations?

Happy birthday to #neurologist Santiago Ramón y Cajal (1852 - 1934), here in front of Purkinje and granule cells from a pigeon, based on one of his own drawings! Cajal &Golgi won the Nobel in 1906, "in recognition of their work on the structure of the nervous system". He was as much of an artist as he was a scientist & his 100s of drawings are still used for teaching purposes.⁠

Happy birthday to #geochemist Charles David Keeling (1928 - 2005) whose decades long observations of CO2 in air samples from Mauna Loa Observatory were some of the 1st direct data to show the human contribution to greenhouse effect & global warming. The Queen of Coins card shows a down-to-earth rabbit queen wearing jackalope antlers as a crown. This queen has a good work-life balance. The flower headdress represents how little she needs, gold or precious metals aren't important to her. The flowers on the throne (cherry blossoms - buds to flowers) and on the ground (dandelions - flowers to seed head) transition from spring to summer. It's night. Since numbats are an endangered species (currently ~1000 remaining thanks to reintroducing them into the wild) I thought of a spiritual sacred background. Materials from their natural habitat should appear, like a tree and branches. So it happened in the form of circle weaving patterns. To underline the rareness of numbats I wanted to indicate that this species is very slowly vanishing. Keeping slight gold and silver colors for nobility. The numbat is walking elegantly over tree bark. The fur color transitions from warm to colder colors. Noble Numbat is enjoying the noble time it has been given on this small but precious planet.

You could literally buy like 20 used laptops for the price of a new MacBook and put Linux on each and every one of them. In fact, you don’t even have to put Linux on them, I can do it. I’ll set up a great started distribution and you can have fun learning what a real computer is. And I know you need, like, Photoshop for work and even though it pains me to admit it, I could get it working using WINE. Did you know that WINE stands for “Wine Is Not an Emulator”? I thought that was pretty funny. And like, maybe if you’re still okay with breaking your wallet you could get a Framework laptop and you could get a green bezel on it cause I know you like green, but I could even donate one of my Thinkpads to you, I have like twenty of them and like they kinda get loud but that’s half the fun of computer is that they kinda talk to you and I guess I could peel the stickers off them and…what were we talking about? Oh yeah, if you really really want to get an aluminum smart fridge with a keyboard then I really can’t stop you but could I at least try getting AsahiLinux for it? I don’t think everything is working but it would still be better than running MacOS cause like what can you even do on that blown-up smartphone OS stuck in an overpriced shell?
