Also, I can't remember which sloth (2-toed or 3-toed) has long hair vs short hair, brown vs grey, smiley face vs piggy face). How do scientists do disease surveillance and study biodiversity through the lens of genomics? Citizen scientist Blacki Migliozzi joined a group of jungle field researchers to find out.

Through anecdotes and stunning photography he will walk us through what it's like to work with big cats, primates, birds, bats, frogs, snakes and many other kinds of organisms. He'll also provide first-hand observations of the habitat loss endangering these ecosystems as well as the dangers scientists put themselves in when doing this important work.

Good morning, friends. 🌻🌼🌺

I mentioned that yesterday, I went to a quilt show to take photographs. There were many more people there than I imagined that there would be - I generally don't like crowds. It wasn't lost on me that I was the only man there - at least at that time. But I while I took photos, I watched the people there and the thing that impressed me the most was how happy they were.

Over a hundred quilts were on display and there were various booths selling fabric, quilted bags, etc.

This is a closeup of a yellow Peruvian lily. surrounded by darkness and glimpses of other surrounding flowers. The lily has five large petals each displaying different shades of yellow with black markings. There are several long appendages (I don't know what they're called) perhaps seed pods extending from the center of the flower. I slightly edited the light properties of the photograph to give it a bit of an abstract appeal.
