I don't get to the theater often, but thoroughly enjoyed Pixar's Inside Out 2 with my family.

The storytellers did an excellent job portraying changing emotions & our sense of self in an accessible way for all ages.

It also offers an opportunity to start the conversation - especially with children - about how to understand anxiety.

I highly recommend this one. #film #art

I have seen AI-generated images containing the same elements (e.g. an AI-generated image with the same amount of cats, two small, and one large white cat with intricate golden patterns, a lotus flower, and a remaining coin at the top) & the same colors in my artwork. I especially mean the right picture in the three-pictured layout.

How should I feel about such situations?

The Queen of Coins card shows a down-to-earth rabbit queen wearing jackalope antlers as a crown. This queen has a good work-life balance. She cares for her family, the rabbit kingdom's business affairs and everybody's overall well-being. Her tree throne and its roots manifest how well-grounded she is with earth and reality. The flower headdress represents how little she needs, gold or precious metals aren't important to her. The flowers on the throne (cherry blossoms - buds to flowers) and on the ground (dandelions - flowers to seed head) transition from spring to summer. It's night. The background shows the vast lands she reigns. In front of the throne, her little ones are gathered; the throne is also their home with room for cozy rabbit holes. 'Complect' (2024)

A new interactive #art installation based on crustose lichen and their interconnectivity.

The drawn lines are weaved from conductive wire connected to Raspberry Pi Picos. They all link together, and the parts speak to one another, with electricity flowing through their protozoan boundaries following their own rhythms and patterns, changing the lights and shadows.

Based on research from a residency at Artlink Fort Dunree (2022-23).

Since numbats are an endangered species (currently ~1000 remaining thanks to reintroducing them into the wild) I thought of a spiritual sacred background. Materials from their natural habitat should appear, like a tree and branches. So it happened in the form of circle weaving patterns. To underline the rareness of numbats I wanted to indicate that this species is very slowly vanishing. Keeping slight gold and silver colors for nobility. The numbat is walking elegantly over tree bark. The fur color transitions from warm to colder colors. Noble Numbat is enjoying the noble time it has been given on this small but precious planet.

I've been trying out some of these lichen drawings with black acrylic paint. I think it interferes with the clear voice a little, but then again it's their voice not mine.

They have so many voices, and they are so different, and I'm not sure how much I'm even involved in this process any more or if I'm just doing what they tell me.
