tech.lgbt/@Natasha_Jay/1175211… Natasha_Jay@tech.lgbt - In Nantes, France, a huge serpent risez from the sea near the Loire estuary. Completed in 2012 by Huang Yong Ping, Chinese-born French artist.

The sculpture is covered and uncovered at each tide: at low tide it is possible to walk around it, but only the head and the top of the vertebrae stick out at high tide. It is intended to be gradually invaded by vegetation and marine fauna ...

Anyone with open commissions who wants to do some #art for NetBSD?

We've got a budget for paying for some concept art and can later talk about working with you on some merch. DM us!

Naturally, we cannot accept contributions using generative AI.

I've organised three artist-led workshops at The Dock, Leitrim (IE) this month thinking about storm resilience. These will form part of a living exhibition launching in November.

The workshops:
Oct 14: Community-led MESH networks: thedock.ie/communities/communi… (led by @colm )

Oct 21: Pickles, Preserves and Preparation: thedock.ie/communities/pickles… (co-led by @yambunz )

Oct 28: Dreaming Future Care Systems: thedock.ie/communities/dreamin… (co-led by me)

Wonderful if anyone can make it!

After 15 months of hard work, my dad has finished this impressive model of Minas Tirith! It is 1.4 m high and entirely hand-made out of wood. One of the most time-consuming parts was manually engraving the bricks on all walls and buildings, but this was key to properly convey the huge size of the city. Everything was painted by hand, adding some wear and tear. For a behind-the-scenes look at how he built this check out this video: youtube.com/watch?v=Z1Ywlc8ojj…

I have a limited number of sets of 5 Hobbiton-in-the-snow greeting cards with envelopes at albaillustration.com/original-…. They feature gold foil on the front and a wonderful hopeful message from the kindest, most steadfast character in fiction (who also happens to be our son's namesake!).

UPDATE: only 5 sets left!

Wanted to make some new labels for our tea caddies and I'm pretty happy with the results. Even though our cat Jiji tried to sabotage me with his cuteness. First time I see a cat try to unscrew a lightbulb. I'm posting the scan of it if anyone wants to use them for their teas.

Heribert and I are both a bit overwhelmed by the awesome reactions and comments we received to yesterdays little comic.

Didn't expect that to some random brain dump of me. Thanks to all! Heribert wanted to say thanks too!

My brain woke me up with a little story of the dragon Heribert, who is very much in love with his art supplies and loves to draw. But sadly humans are a bit afraid...

Inked with fountain pen, because... why not?

Have a creative day and use your hoards little precious creative dragons!

ENTRANCED
I love to read and every once in a while, I find a book that I cannot put down, no matter what is happening around me. For those of you who have ever been lucky enough to encounter this transcendent state of being, this drawing is for you! 😀 Imagine curled up in your favorite comfy chair, with a hot cup of tea and plate of delicious cookies nearby. All of your "friends" surround you and you have found that peaceful space, entranced with the story before you.

As some of you may recall, it was this October that I decided to relaunch my website and try to give the pottery a go.

A month later, our postal service decided to strike. Things were going well till then, but today I accept the fact any holiday sales are lost, and we won't be getting our Christmas box from home.

If you can boost this post and follow so that more people can see my work, it'd mean a lot at this stressful time.
